WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?

Tickets are only available via the event website.

HOW DO I GET THERE

To get to Millport Pier Hotel from Largs, head to the Largs ferry terminal and take the CalMac ferry across to Cumbrae Slip on the Isle of Cumbrae. The ferry crossing is short, taking around 10 minutes, and runs frequently throughout the day.

From Cumbrae Slip, catch the connecting island bus (Route 320) or take a taxi into Millport town.

The hotel is located on the seafront at Quayhead and is easy to find once you arrive in Millport.

SHOULD I ARRANGE ACCOMMODATION

Arranging accommodation is advised as events do not finish until late evening after the CalMac ferry service has ended for the day. A limited amount of accommodation can be booked directly with The Pier Hotel via the hotel’s website (www.millportpier.com). Accommodation is also available via the event website, where twin rooms are available at Millport’s Field Studies Centre c.1.6 miles from the Pier Hotel.

HOW DOES THE CAMPSITE AT GARRISON HOUSE WORK?

Camping at Garrison House, Millport – August 2026

Camping will be available at Garrison House, Millport for visitors attending the Fun At The Pier Sound Waves event during August 2026.

This will be a managed temporary campsite with space for a maximum of 100 campers. The site will include clearly marked camping areas, safety controls, stewarding, overnight security, first aid provision, toilets, handwashing facilities, drinking water, waste and recycling points, and emergency contact information.

  • Camping is for Fun At The Pier weekend visitors.
  • The campsite will operate on weekends during August 2026.
  • Maximum campsite capacity is 100 campers.
  • Maximum pitch size is 5m x 5m, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Tents will be arranged in designated rows.
  • There will be a minimum 3m separation between individual tents.
  • Fire lanes and emergency access routes must be kept clear at all times.
  • Vehicles are not permitted within the camping area, except for emergency or authorised service vehicles.
  • Open campfires are not permitted.
  • Disposable BBQs are not permitted.
  • Gas appliances are not permitted.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside tents; a designated smoking area will be provided.
  • Campers will receive campsite rules and fire safety information on arrival.
  • A wristband system will be used for access.
  • Visitors must follow the campsite registration and access procedures.
  • First aiders and security staff will be available on site.
  • Site checks will be carried out daily to help keep the campsite safe and well managed.
  • Portable toilets on site (no shower facilities).

Campers should follow all instructions from event staff, stewards and security teams. Emergency routes, fire lanes and safety areas must remain clear at all times.

CAN I GET A REFUND OR TRANSFER TICKETS?

Tickets are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Ticket protection is available to purchase at checkout covering Illness or injury to you, another ticket holder, or immediate family member along with severe weather, unexpected public transit delays, involuntary job loss and more.

ARE TICKET BUYERS COVERED IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED?

All tickets for Fun At The Pier 2026 are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled due to fault or mismanagement by the event owner, Pier Hotel Millport Ltd, or by order of a local authority, or the Scottish Government due to circumstances such as a Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

In the event of cancellation or postponement due to Coronavirus (Covid-19), tickets will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled date, or a full refund will be offered for a limited time.
